I am sorry to say that we are unable to hold the Phoenix Combat Classic this year.
Work is a bit too crazy and it takes so much personal time that I am unable to commit the necessary amount of time this year to ensure a successful match.
I appreciate everyone coming out to shoot with us and help raise money for the Phoenix Police Explorer program. Some of you have been with us for almost every match over the past 11 years and I'm going to miss seeing you all.
It has been a very fun run. Thanks again!
ABOUT THE MATCH:
The Phoenix Combat Classic is a one day combat handgun shooting match open to all law enforcement personnel from local, state & federal agencies. Military personnel are all also welcome to participate.
For the last 7 years we have had shooters come from all over Arizona and around the country. It is a one day match and is limited to the first 130 shooters.
THE PHOENIX POLICE EXPLORER PROGRAM:
The Police Explorer program allows 14-21 year olds to participate and assist at Phoenix PD functions while assessing a possible career in law enforcement.
The Phoenix Combat Classic is a benefit action pistol shooting competition designed to raise money for, and help support, the Phoenix Police Explorer Program.
BEHIND THE MATCH:
The Phoenix Police Depart. Firearms Training Detail staff are the primary folks behind the match and are supported by others from the Phx PD and outside agencies.
We believe holding this match is a great way to peak police officers' interests in shooting while providing them a fun and unique opportunity to improve their skills for the street.
